Foster a sense of awareness and mindfulness

Juku is a hidden sushi restaurant in the heart of Chinatown, on a nondescript street in NYC. While unassuming from the outside, once you walk through the doors, you immediately feel transported. The entry leading up to the main seating area cues you to take in something—but what that is, is yet unknown. This is a deliberate moment for pause—almost a misdirection, which is intentional. Having no idea what’s now ahead, you’re pushed into the present as you move into the dining room. Instilling that unexpected moment of surprise invites a change of perspective and opens people up to be fully present.

Entry through an unassuming facade instantly transports visitors into the unexpected and invites a change of perspective.
